This is the 6th and final coffee in our series of micro lots we sourced from Colombia this year. Micro Lot #6 comes from Gustavo De Jesus Rivera. Gustavo De Jesus's coffee story is one of a farewell tour if you will. Gustavo De Jesus farm name is “El Retiro”, translated to “the retirement”. Gustavo De Jesus's farm is one of the highest farms in Colombia at over 2200 meters. Being at such a high altitude and lower temperatures Gustavo is able to ferment his coffee for twice as long as other farmers in Colombia. This creates flavor profiles uniquely all his own allowing his coffee to stand out. Gustavo De Jesus farm produced roughly 20 -70Kg bags of green coffee to sell on the world market. We were able to secure 2- 70kg bags for our Black Label Colombia Micro Lot Series. We are excited to support Gustavo De Jesus who is spending his retirement years to share his passion of coffee with the world. Hopefully you will like his coffee enough so we can be support him again next year.
